Boys Basketball Final Tonight!
The Boys Varsity Basketball Team will be playing in the championship game at Immaculata School in Durham at 5:30 pm today against Mary Magdelene.
Directions: I-40 West to Highway 147 North (Durham Freeway) towards Durham. Exit at Chapel Hill St, Right on Chapel Hill St., School comes up immediately on right.

Lions Get 2 Big Tourney Wins!
Both the Boys’ and the Girls’ Varsity Basketball teams won their first round conference tournament games tonight. In the early game, the girls cruised past Immaculata 31-12. The boys followed with a decisive 50-30 win over St. Raphaels. Congratulations!

Boys Varsity Basketball Finishes Season 15 – 5!
The Boys Varsity team finished out their season with a big win over St. Michaels 45-40 on Friday night at Old Cardinal Gibbons gym. The team finished with a 15-5 overall record and 13-3 in the conference. They ended up in 2nd place in the conference and will play in the Conference tournament Monday night against St. Raphaels at OCG. If they win, the semi-finals will be played at OCG on Tuesday night and the Final will be played on Thursday night (location to be determined). The Lions will finish up their season Feb. 20-22 at the annual Shamrock tournament in Charlotte.
Boys Varsity Basketball Picks Up 2 More Wins!
The team won a couple of conference games last week to improve to 6-0!
OLL 49 St. Raphael’s 21
The Lion’s started out with aggressive defense causing 6 steals and built a big halftime lead, 34-5. The second team continued to play strong with more steals and cruised to victory.
OLL 57 TFS 41
Starting out with a new lineup the Lions fell behind in the first half. They picked up the pace in the second half with strong guard play and great shooting with 4 3-pointers. The Lions responded well to their first real test against the athletic Timberwolves.
Boys’ Varsity Basketball Starts 4-0!
The Varsity Boy’s Basketball team started their season with a bang. They have won decisively in their first 4 games.
OLL 55 Cathredral 17
In the season opener against Cathedral we played on our home floor (Old Cardinal Gibbons). The Lions started out with a strong pressure defense and built up a early lead that the Knights could never make up.
OLL 66 Cary Christian 25
The taller Cary Christian Knights came out playing well but could not keep up with the fast pace.
OLL 49 Immaculata 40
The Lions traveled to Durham to get their first win ever on the “Coach K” floor. The boys played great in the first half to take a big lead in a very physical and tightly called game. Immaculata came back in the second half but never got closer that 9 points.
OLL 59 St. Catherines 37
Once again the Lions started out strong for a great team victory before Thanksgiving break.
