NCSU Football Game Opportunities

It is that time of year again, when the OLL Booster Club raises funds by distributing promotional items before the NCSU football games. It’s a chance to help OLL athletics, earn some volunteer hours, spend quality time with your family/friends, and attend NCSU’s football games for free.

There will be 7 home football game volunteer opportunities on September. 6th, 20th, and 27th, October 4th and 16th, and November 15th and 29th.

On September 6th, the Wolfpack plays William & Mary at 6pm. This is also Military Appreciation Day, and it is one of my favorite games to attend with my family…especially the kids. They get to see over 50,000 fans stand and cheer for real heroes, as paratroopers arrive from above with perfect landings…at least that is what happened last year, and it was a great experience!

If you, your children, or family friends would like to help on September 6th, please let me know via email. (This is a great way for Cardinal Gibbons students to earn volunteer hours). I will have 25 game passes for this event, where we will hand out promotional items as fans enter the gates before the game. I expect we will gather at Carter-Finley stadium at 4:00pm, and my goal is to have our work completed before kick-off, so we can enjoy the game.

Please advise asap (no later than Sunday) if you can volunteer. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me via email, or mobile 818-5204.

Boys’ Soccer Opens Season with a Win!

The Boys’ Soccer team travelled to St. Catherine’s and came home with a 3-0 win. Philip Cooley scored first off a corner kick. Robert Povlock scored the other 2 goals. Defense played great with the shutout – Nick Despotes, Kyle Pecot, Preston Butler, Matt Bass and goalie Ryan Lawrence. Offense controlled ball well throughout the game – Patrick Domville, Jeffrey Crawford, Carter Durling and Noah Dickerson. Hoping a few players return from injury/sickness to be ready for a big game against powerhouse St. Thomas More at home on Thursday.

Congratulations!

Welcome!

Welcome to the Booster Club’s new website for OLL Athletics. Here, you will be able to get the latest news about all our athletic teams as well as photos, videos, schedules, directions to other schools and events, apparel and merchandise as well as information about the Booster Club itself.

There’s not much here now, but check back often as the school year progresses or subcsribe to our RSS feed to get updates when they happen.

We’re Recruiting

The Booster Club is looking for volunteers to help contribute to this website. Our goal is to have this website contain all the latest and greatest news regarding OLL Athletics: scores, photos, videos, etc. The more people we have contributing the stronger the site will be.

Anyone who is interested in posting game scores, photographs and / or video to this site, please contact Scott Piggott for more details.
